With Hurricane Irma looming in the Atlantic, Jose and Katia threatening in the aftermath, and much of Texas and the surrounding areas still reeling from Harvey, we wanted to say a quick word of encouragement and hope to our friends in the South.
You are not alone. You have friends all around the country thinking about and praying for you and your well-being. Though we are not there in person, our thoughts are with you. We hope you find a way to stay safe. We can't imagine what you're going through.
To those of you hoping and praying from far away, we encourage you to pray, support, and do whatever you can to help our brothers and sisters in their time of need. We all can do something, whether it be donating our money, physically helping with preparations or cleanup, or opening our homes to those fleeing Florida and needing shelter.
Thankfully, though the situation is indescribably scary and the devastation widespread, we know that God is there to comfort, protect, and shelter us when we need Him. We pray for His protection for everyone affected outside of the US and in the state of Georgia, the Carolinas, and especially Florida, who will likely see the worst of this storm.
Our prayers, love, and concern go out to all of those affected by Hurricanes Irma and Harvey.
