Before we continue deeper into the Paleo lifestyle (and start rolling out some of the exciting things we have planned for you in the near future!), we wanted to take a quick break to give you a little insight into ourselves.
We’ve been married for five and a half years. Crazy! In that time, we’ve both:
1. Been out of a job (at different times, thankfully)
2. Gained and lost weight
3. Lived in 4 different homes (made 3 moves!)
4. Traveled to 3 different states (plus D.C.)
5. Struggled with health issues
6. Added to our extensive book (mostly Melissa) and comic book (Andrew) collections
7. Led worship for *at least* 7 different churches.
Wow! When I put it like that, I wonder how we got it all done!
How much have you accomplished over the years? I encourage you to write out a list. Your list probably looks nothing like ours, but I challenge you to look back at how far you’ve come since 5 years ago, or 10, or 15. You were a different person then, right?
Before you can truly move forward, you must look back. At all the things you’ve accomplished, the challenges you’ve overcome, the growth you’ve achieved. Your past informs your present; it’s made you who you are today. Remember it, be thankful for it - then move on.
Be thankful you aren’t who you were 5, 10, even 15 years ago. If you aren’t changing, you aren’t growing. And things that don’t grow, die.
